Build configuration templates in Teamcity

In this topic, you will learn how to create Build configuration templates. Main benefit of using templates is that you can create new build configurations very quickly. You can create Build configuration templates in 2 ways.
  • Manually
  • Extracting template from existing build configuration
To add a template manually, you have to go to the project settings page and then click on create a new build configuration template as shown in below image. Extract template from build in TeamCity Extract template from build in TeamCity New template name in TeamCity New template name in TeamCity Once new template is created, it is displayed under project from where it is extracted as shown in below image. We can copy, move or delete the template from here. template actions in TeamCityDeleting a template is not allowed if that template is referenced by any build configuration.
