  • Use slow motion
  • For long shots, use time remapping feature
  • Use time lapse or hyper lapse
  • Use protrait mode when shooting humans/animals
  • For landscape shot, use wide angle lens
  • To make distant subjects appear closer, use Telephoto lens
  • Take shoulder shots for conversation scenes
  • Transition from one scene to other using foreground.
  • Follow person/subject from behind, sideways, front side etc
  • Reveal subject from top to bottom - Mini Jib Reveal
  • Reveal landscape, road with camera moving from ground up using
  • Step in reveal - shoot scene and subject enters midway
  • Lookup and pull down - tree trunk up and down or tower
  • play with sunlight cutting across leaves
  • foot to head - Soft focus reveal - lock exposure and subject moves
  • Fake drone shots with gimbal and extension pole - rising from ground to top of

  • Orbit shot - circle around subject - church/subject/into tree/sky
  • Zoom in and out of black subject - different scenes - Chest transition - get into and out of chest
  • Camera motion and movement - Rotate camera while moving away or getting close - camera movement left/right and revealing main subject - push movement - forward and backward
  • Prepare script before shooting and practise
  • Jot down bullet points/scenes you want to show
  • Start video with fade in effect
  • End video with fade out effect or music
  • Include text/titles/descriptions to convey message
  • Add transition between different point/scene
  • Take help of pen/paper/whiteboard or Pointpoint presentation to explain things
  • If explaining the webpage, make use of virtual pen to highlight the points
  • If budget allows, buy digital whiteboard
  • When you are talking, show lot of enthusiasm and hunger to deliver the best
  • Add music suitable for the scene especially when there is a motion scene

  • Cutaway - Show surrounding
  • Montage - Showing progress - building wooden toy
  • Match cuts - jumping on bed vs jumping into sea - change in scene
