unable to close defect from open status in ALM

ALM defect transition issue

When you want to close the defect, you can not do this if defect status is not in desired status

Why this happens

There are transition rules defined in ALM configuration that will restrict certain users from moving defect from one state to other. Before you involve ALM admin, you can try to move defect status to Fixed and then test and then close state. This is because defects follow certain flow.

But all these transitions are customizable and ALM admin can customize this for you! So just inform your ALM admin to update transition rules around defects and you should be able to move status from one to other without any issues.
