How to prevent automatic key pressing in windows 10 or 11

Recently I was annoyed by this issue wherein specific key was pressing automatically in my Asus windows 10 laptop. That specific key was square bracket. This issue was driving me crazy. Most of the solutions provided on internet were not working.

After struggling for couple of days, I finally found the solution. Even thought solution was not very elegant, I was happy that key was not pressing automatically.

Solution

Here is how I fixed this issue. I installed https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/install powertoy software provided by windows. Then once you open the powertoy software, you can configure keyboard. So basically I disabled the Square bracket key in that software. and voila problem was solved.

Whenever I wanted to use [ key, I just copied it from notepad. I am so happy now!! I will link video soon for this demo.
